Counter attach happens, most of the team is out of place to cover the objective and the 1 person can't hold the objective. As apposed to a rusher, gets to and takes objective. This puts us in a fantastic status to fend off a counter attack. How we work is we clear the enemy, wait until everyone is on the edge of the objective, then take it as one group for maximum points for everyone. Taking objectives our clan will kick players for taking objectives by themselves. Our team hold up point as the developers planned. I've seen some games be lost because everybody is always looking to were the enemy spawns, and the enemy basically goes around the back side and eliminates all of us. Being on tactical people run to the spawn point and just pick him off as they spawn one gets through and we lose because there's no one there to contest the hold point. Sometimes I don't get many kills (comparatively speaking) but the ones I do get are part of the design of the game. I found a group of players that had a clan and their own server that enforce tactical play. Running to the next objective isn't how the game was designed to be played. Sure I won't be the top player (most of the time) because I am unwilling to do what it takes to hit the top spot.

Gaming has always been full of people being awful unless you played extremely limited single player campaigns or a few rare exceptions where the single player campaign was worthwhile. I'm not sure when the "good old days" the OP is referring to happened. I played online games through fidonets and BBS'es all through the 90's. I'm 40 years old though, I've been a gamer since the 80's when my dad first had PC's in the house and I started playing there. I couldn't give less of a fuck about Delphine, but I still think circulating stolen nudes is fucking creepy, even from someone with an onlyfans page.

He broke the "no talking except for strict logistics and GG exits" code and volunteered a bunch of Belle Delphine's pirated content and started talking about how excited he was for her porn debut. Then just before christmas, I was playing with someone I've done quests and stuff with on and off for years without ever having really spoken. I super leaned into Diablo 3 for a while - I played online with strangers there a bit - because the chat is largely irrelevant. I played games I thought were more adult for a while - shooters and other "adult content" games - I quickly realised that the voices calling me homophobic, transphobic and racist slurs were even younger there. I stopped playing multiplayer online games when WOW first launched and the servers were swamped with people from everquest screaming "SOSW" on every chat channel and I was called racial and sexual identity related slurs by obvious children like 20 times in the first hour on voice chat. I want devs to destroy meta builds with RNG. I like finding builds myself, but you can't do that because tryhards figure out all the best build and people just google it. There is a lot more about my dream MMO I could ramble on about, but to sum up, none of the MMOs on the market today are close to what I want. I want my character to be a nobody who has to build his way up in an interactive world. Like how ESO every character is the chosen one. In fact i don't need to have some over arching story shoved down my throat at all. I don't want a ton of the same quests ever person does. So you won't have only a couple viable builds per job, but can build your character however you want. The RNG behind the game and a characters base stats are random, so on one server the code might favor one type of build, but it can't be reproduced because the growth on every server, job, character is random. I want everything in the game to fight against meta builds. Get caught committing any crime and a bounty would be on your head that means other players can PvP you to get the bounty. Want to steal something, go for it, but if you're caught the guards and people of that town will be hostile I'd want a roguelike MMO where you can do whatever you want, but because death and actions are permanent what you do matters. I actually don't think the type of MMO I want to play exists. That isn't what I was saying at all, in fact I am saying the opposite, I want a harder game that becoming good at doesn't just require understanding the code behind the game, and devoting time to structuring a character around that (a meta game), instead of being able to roleplay a character based around his skills or choices (roleplaying). I want to clarify what I meant by "hate playing towards a meta" though because I don't think people understand what I was trying to convey, and thought that meant I wanted a "casual" game because meta gaming was too hard. I hate playing towards a meta in MMOs but can't find one that cares more about RP.Įdit: Thanks for all the suggestions.
